Moovida supports most commonly used file formats. A partial list of codecs and file containers includes: mpeg/mpg, mpeg1, mpeg2, vp6, svq3, mpeg4, h264, h263, theora, wmv, avi, asf, mov, ogg, ogv, ogm, matroska(mkv), flv, mp3, ac3, aac, dts, vorbis, flac, wma.
Using an iPod or other external device is really easy - it's just plug and play. When you connect a new device it will show up in the appropriate section of Moovida. You can then explore the device and play back your media files.
The easiest way to add plugins is from within Moovida. From the main menu of Moovida, go to the 'Plugins' screen. Then navigate to “Find New Plugins” and you will be presented with a list of all available plugins. Select the plugin and follow the installation instructions on the screen.

No, Moovida only functions as a stand-alone player of your media. Just like your game system, Moovida can read information over your network, but it does not act as a media server. However, we recommend connecting your Moovida powered computer to your TV and enjoy your media that way. We think you'll find it easier and more satisfying than using a game system.
Moovida supports all subtitles supported in containers as well as srt and ssa subtitles. We are working on including more formats, so don't hesitate to drop us a line in the support section.
Moovida only shows your files, it does not change anything in your original files. In order to delete files from your media library, you need to remove them in your own tree in your computer.
From the main menu of Moovida, go to the settings screen. There you will find a menu item called “Add Folders”. Navigate to the folder you would like to remove, click the green check mark next to the folder and the folder will be removed from Moovida.

Adding folders is pretty easy! From the main menu of Moovida, go to the settings screen. There you will find a menu item called “Add Folders”. Navigate to the folders you would like to include, click “Add” and your new folder will be scanned for media.
Moovida automatically scans all the folders in "My Documents". Since you might store files in other locations, you can add or retrieve folders that you want Moovida to scan at any point.
